Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has arrived in Islamabad on a historic and extraordinary visit to Pakistan.
This visit is being regarded as a significant step toward taking the longstanding, strong, and time-tested relations between the two brotherly countries into a new strategic phase.
According to a statement issued by the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad, in light of changing global dynamics, regional developments, and new strategic requirements in the region, the need for further strengthening, enhancing, and modernizing cooperation between Pakistan and Iran has grown more than ever before. Dr. Larijani’s important visit is seen as a major move in this direction.
During the visit, delegations from both countries will hold comprehensive and result-oriented discussions on political and security matters, border management, counterterrorism, economic cooperation, and regional stability.
