TikTok Fires All Employees In India

Web Desk — TikTok India has terminated its entire workforce in the country in just 7 days.

The company informed as many as 40 employees on phone about their termination and offered them up to six to seven months of severance pay.

The situation emerged after the Indian government banned TikTok and nearly 300 other Chinese apps in June 2020 following severe border issues with Beijing 2020.

The TikTok spokesperson in India thanked the employees acknowledging their contribution to the company. The employees have been given assurance that the company will support them during this challenging time.

With over 200 million user base, India was considered the largest TikTok market outside its origin.
