RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has launched a new “Package Visa” initiative, making it easier for international tourists to visit the Kingdom. Pakistan is among the first seven countries to benefit from this program, which combines flights, hotel bookings, and electronic visa issuance into a single package.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, the scheme aims to simplify the travel process. Eligible travelers no longer need to apply for a tourist visa separately. Instead, they can book an approved package through authorized travel agencies, which includes round-trip flights, accommodation at licensed hotels, and an electronic tourist visa.
Who Is Eligible?
In the first phase, citizens of the following seven countries can use the Package Visa facility:
- Pakistan
- India
- Bangladesh
- Indonesia
- Egypt
- Jordan
- Mexico
Authorities have indicated that more countries will be added in future phases.
How It Works
Travelers can obtain the package through approved agencies. After completing payment, the electronic tourist visa is issued within 48 hours along with travel insurance and other documents via email.
The steps are simple:
- Choose a package from authorized travel providers
- Pay the fees securely through the digital platform
- Receive visa and insurance electronically
- Travel documents are sent via email
Approved providers currently include Reservool and Almosafer.
Visa Validity and Stay Duration
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Type | Single-entry tourist visa |
| Validity | 3 months |
| Minimum Stay | 2 days |
| Maximum Stay | 88 days |
Package Costs
The minimum package cost for two days is SAR 4,000 (approx. PKR 296,000) per adult. Each additional day costs an extra SAR 1,000 (approx. PKR 74,000).
Travelers can also add optional services such as event tickets, leisure activities, and tourism experiences to their packages by paying additional fees.
Important Points to Note
- The visa does not include Umrah services. Packages do not cover Umrah arrangements in Makkah or Madinah.
- However, visa holders may travel to any city in Saudi Arabia after arrival, including Makkah and Madinah, subject to local regulations.
- If the travel package is canceled, the associated visa is automatically revoked.
Saudi Vision 2030
The Package Visa is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 strategy to boost tourism and attract international visitors. The Kingdom welcomed over 29 million inbound tourists in 2025, and this initiative is expected to further simplify travel logistics.
