The assembler and seller of Toyota-brand vehicles in Pakistan, Indus Motor Company (IMC), increased the prices of its cars for the second time in January 2023 following the massive rupee fall against the dollar.
According to the IMC notification, there will be an increase of Rs1.16 million in the prices of its vehicles.
The price of Corolla 1.6 CVT has been increased from Rs5.369 million to Rs5.749 million, which is an increase of Rs380,000. After an upward price revision of Rs430,000, the Corolla 1.8 CVT is now priced at Rs6.07 million.
The Fortuner range bears the biggest price increase. Fortuner Diesel Legender has a price hike of Rs1.16 million and this vehicle will now be available at Rs17.07 million
Toyota Yaris 1.3 MT has a price increase of Rs260,000 as its rate has risen from Rs3.819 million to Rs4.079 million.
Yaris 1.5 CVT price is now up by Rs320,000, and now will be available at Rs4.929 million.
IMC on January 12, also raised car prices across the entire lineup in the range of Rs280,000 to Rs1.21 million.
The new RSP (retail selling price) will be effective on all new orders booked after January 12, 2023, according to the latest notification.
An IMC statement says economic uncertainties and the extreme volatility in the value of the rupee against the dollar had adversely impacted the cost of manufacturing of the company.
