Web Desk — Pak Suzuki Motor Company’s (PSMC), sales have hit a record low due to insufficient inventory and import restrictions for the second time this year.
According to the latest updates gathered from the auto market, Pak Suzuki sold fewer than 1,000 units in February. This is Suzuki’s worst performance since countrywide COVID-19 lockdowns in April 2020.
The report of an auto journal has cited repeated production shutdowns and the unavailability of completely knocked down (CKD) kits as the reason for the sales decline. The automakers have also held the State Bank responsible for its reluctance to approve letters of credit (LCs) for the clearance of imported goods.
In January 2023, Pak Suzuki sold 2,940 cars, showing a massive decline of 74% in monthly sales. The huge decline was mainly because of the poor sales of Suzuki Alto, which went down from 6,898 units in December 2022 to just 44 in January 2023.
