Web Desk — After Islamabad’s Session Court, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has also issued bailable arrest warrants for Imran Khan in the ECP contempt case.
The ECP summoned Imran Khan on March 14, directing the Islamabad police chief to ensure compliance with the warrants.
The ECP while issuing the warrants said that Imran had failed to appear despite repeated summons.
The ECP has also ordered Imran Khan to submit a surety bond of Rs50,000 and summoned on March 14.
The election commission, on January 17, reserved its verdict in the contempt case against Imran Khan and other PTI stalwarts, including Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar when they failed to appear before the commission despite a final warning.
