The Indian Premier League (IPL) has closed its doors on three England cricketers, including star all-rounder Ben Stokes. All three players will be ineligible to participate in the league’s auction next year.
Ben Stokes did not register for this year’s mega auction, which automatically rules him out of next year’s mini-auction as well.
Harry Brook withdrew his name at the last moment in 2025 due to personal reasons. As a result, he is no longer eligible to enter the IPL auction.
Jason Roy did not register for IPL 2025, and he had also withdrawn from the 2024 edition. Therefore, he too remains ineligible for the upcoming auction.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s Faf du Plessis and England’s Moeen Ali have already announced that they will prioritize the Pakistan Super League (PSL) over the IPL.
Australia’s explosive batter Glenn Maxwell has also decided not to participate in the IPL.
