Azam Khan Fined For Displaying Palestinian Flag

Web Desk — Middle-order batter Azam Khan was fined 50% of his match fee for displaying the Palestinian flag on his bat during the National T20 tournament in Karachi.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) rules, Azam Khan was guilty of breaching clothing and equipment regulations (displaying unapproved logo/political messaging) during a match between Karachi Whites and Lahore Blues on Sunday.

The batter is representing Karachi Whites in the tournament. Geo news reported that the batter was warned to avoid displaying the unapproved logo as it would be against the ICC code of conduct.

According to sources, Azam Khan informed the referee that all his bats had the same stickers.
