Arshad Nadeem: Pakistan's medal hope at Tokyo Olympics 2020

Web Desk — Pakistan’s Jevelin thrower Arshad Nadeem becomes the only hope of the country to get a medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The 24-year-old has already qualified for the Javelin throw final as he topped in Group B with an 85.16m throw.

The athletes were to throw at least 83.50m to get into the final.

German athlete Johannes Vetter is being touted as the most favorite to win the gold in Javelin’s throw but with Arshad and India’s Neeraj Chopra’s performance, the competition seems tough.

India’s Neeraj Chopra topped Group A in the event with a throw of 86.5m.

Arshad says he just wants to return home with his head high.

The Olympics Javelin throw final will take place on August 7 at 4pm according to Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
