Pakistan has secured a remarkably strong position in Washington through exceptional diplomacy, according to a report published in the renowned American journal Foreign Policy.

The report highlights that during the Trump administration, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir built historic-level ties with the U.S. government, earning the full confidence of President Donald Trump.

Pakistan played a decisive role in the capture of the mastermind behind the Kabul attack, which significantly contributed to Trump’s trust in Islamabad. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s effective diplomacy strengthened Pak-US relations to new heights.

The report also notes that initiatives like the recovery of Reko Diq demonstrated Pakistan’s reliability as a partner for Western investment. By presenting a transparent and modern framework for crypto and energy cooperation, Pakistan accelerated collaboration with the Trump administration.

Foreign Policy further revealed that Trump publicly acknowledged Pakistan’s role in promoting peace amid tensions with India, while the U.S. stance toward India remained comparatively lukewarm.
