Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq continues

Pakistan’s armed forces continue to carry out Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq with full force and determination against the unprovoked aggression of the Afghan Taliban regime along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. In a series of swift and effective retaliatory strikes, Pakistani forces have inflicted heavy casualties on Afghan Taliban operatives while destroying multiple military installations and capturing key posts .

Heavy Casualties Inflicted on Afghan Taliban

According to security sources and official statements, the total number of Afghan Taliban operatives killed in various phases of the operation has reached 133, while more than 200 have been injured . Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that 16 posts of the Afghan Taliban regime have been destroyed, while seven posts have been taken over by Pakistani forces .

The Prime Minister’s spokesperson Mosharraf Zaidi also confirmed the casualty figures, stating that at least 133 Afghan fighters were killed and more than 200 wounded, with additional losses estimated in strikes on military targets in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar .

Key Installations Destroyed

Security sources report that the operation has resulted in the complete destruction of:

  • 3 Afghan battalions
  • Sector headquarters
  • Ammunition dumps
  • Over 80 tanks, artillery guns, and armored personnel carriers

Additionally, two corps headquarters, three brigade headquarters, and a logistics base have also been targeted and destroyed . In Kabul, the Pakistan Air Force destroyed two brigade headquarters through effective air strikes. A corps headquarters, a brigade headquarters, an ammunition depot, and a logistics base were targeted in Kandahar, while a corps headquarters was also destroyed in Paktia .

Pakistani Flag Hoisted on Captured Posts

In a significant development, Pakistani forces have captured five Afghan posts in Paktika province and hoisted the national flag . Security sources confirmed that Afghan Taliban abandoned their positions and fled as Pakistani troops advanced. The captured posts are located opposite South Waziristan, with two posts opposite Shawal, two across from Angoor Adda, and one facing Zarmalan – all strategically sensitive points .

The Afghan terminal at Angoor Adda was also destroyed, described as a necessary step to neutralize hostile infrastructure . In Mohmand’s Gharsal sector, Pakistani forces destroyed Afghan check posts, while in the Prwali Khan sector, an Afghan post was demolished .

Sector-Wise Operations

According to security sources, Pakistani forces conducted effective ground operations across multiple sectors:

  • Bajaur Sector: Two Afghan Taliban check posts were destroyed .
  • Kurram Sector: Multiple terrorist hideouts completely destroyed, with 8 Taliban fighters killed.
  • Angoor Adda: An Afghan post was destroyed, and the Afghan Charlie Post and Afghan Babri Post were completely demolished.
  • Paktika Province: Five Afghan posts captured, along with key military installations and corps headquarters.
  • Tirah, Khyber: Various checkpoints targeted and destroyed.

Failed Drone Attacks

Security sources revealed that Afghan Taliban made unsuccessful attempts to attack Pakistani check posts using quadcopters, but all Afghan quadcopters were shot down. Pakistani forces also carried out effective drone strikes against Taliban regime posts .

Pakistan’s Martyrs

While defending the motherland, two Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom, and three others were injured during the operations . Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that two Pakistani soldiers were martyred and three wounded .

Background of the Operation

The operation was launched in response to unprovoked firing by Afghan Taliban forces at multiple locations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, including the Nawagai sector in Bajaur and Tirah in Khyber . The Pakistani Ministry of Information and Broadcasting confirmed that security forces initiated an immediate and effective response after “unprovoked fire” by Afghan Taliban forces .

Official Statements

Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif stated that Pakistan considers itself in an “open war” with neighboring Afghanistan following the escalation, accusing Afghanistan of “exporting terrorism” and serving as a “colony of India” . He asserted that Pakistan’s patience has run out and that every aggression will be responded to resolutely .

Rejection of False Claims

Security sources have dismissed the fake claims and videos circulating on Afghan Taliban media and social media, reiterating that no posts of Pakistani forces have been captured, nor have there been any reports of personnel being killed or arrested . The claims made by Afghan officials of capturing Pakistani posts have been strongly refuted by Pakistani authorities .

Ongoing Operations

Security sources confirm that Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq continues, with more targets being engaged. Pakistani security forces remain on high alert and are fully prepared to defend every inch of the motherland. The armed forces have made it clear that Pakistan will give a powerful and crushing response to any aggression .
