Missing Poet Ahmed Farhad Found In AJK

Web Desk — Poet Ahmad Farhad who went missing from Islamabad reportedly for his firebrand poetry was found in the custody of Azad Kashmir police.

The Attorney General informed the Islamabad High Court that the missing poet was in the custody of Bagh police explaining that a case was registered against Ahmad Farhad in the Bagh district.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the IHC heard the case regarding the recovery of the missing Kashmiri poet on Wednesday.

Attorney General Mansoor Awan, Additional Attorney General Munawar Iqbal, and Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar appeared before the court.

Farhad’s official arrest marks a crucial development in the case that garnered widespread attention. The court was continuously putting pressure on police for his recovery.

The court had given one week to the attorney general to locate the poet, who is of Kashmiri origins.
