The identity and statement of the woman who was dragged from a car by immigration officials in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Tuesday have been revealed.

The woman is software expert Alia Rahman, who is from Bangladesh and has a disability. After the violent incident, Alia stated that she informed the federal agents about her disability, but despite this, she was dragged out of the car and subjected to the worst treatment.

Alia Rahman further said that she is lucky to be alive because, just days before her encounter, she was aware of the killing of a woman named Rini Nicole Good by the same officers. According to Alia, this is why she did not resist, despite the agents’ rough handling.

Alia reported that she requested a medical examination during her detention but was not provided one. At the detention center, she lost consciousness and was subsequently taken to a hospital.

It is important to note that just a few hundred feet from where federal agents apprehended Alia Rahman, a woman named Rini Nicole Good had been shot and killed without cause by immigration officers.

According to US media, Rini Nicole Good, who was killed on January 7, suffered gunshot wounds to her chest, arm, and head. Two bullets struck the right side of her chest, and one hit her left arm. First responders at the scene reported that their initial examination revealed Rini Good had already stopped breathing.
