Web Desk: Following its recent setback at the hands of Pakistan, the Indian government and right-wing elements within the country appear to have lost composure, directing their frustration toward nations seen as allies of Pakistan.
Among those countries, Turkey has particularly drawn India’s ire after issuing pro-Pakistan statements during the recent conflict. Enraged by Turkey’s stance, Indian media has gone so far as to publish claims that India could destroy Turkey within six minutes using its ‘BrahMos’ missile system.
These threats, widely regarded as bluster, surfaced through an article published by an Indian news agency, reportedly sponsored by RAW, India’s notorious intelligence and espionage agency.
In a separate development, India’s civil aviation security watchdog, BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security), revoked the security clearance of Çelebi Airport Services India Pvt. Ltd., a Turkish ground-handling firm. The company operates at nine major Indian airports, including Mumbai, Delhi, Kochi, Kannur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Goa, Ahmedabad, and Chennai.
The article also referenced India’s Agni-V intercontinental ballistic missile, which allegedly can travel at speeds of up to 29,400 km/h, and is capable of striking any location in Turkey, including the capital Ankara, within minutes.
It’s worth noting that Turkey was one of the countries, alongside China, that openly supported Pakistan during its recent standoff with India. Ankara also reportedly provided Pakistan with advanced military drones, which were believed to have been deployed during the tense post-“Operation Sandoor” period, when hostilities between the two South Asian neighbors reached a critical point.
Speculative military analysis from Indian media even suggested that India could potentially launch a BrahMos missile strike against Turkey from an aircraft carrier or warship stationed in the territorial waters of a third country near Ankara.
