Will Mahira Appear In ‘Pakeezah’ Remake?

Web Desk — Mahira Khan will be seen in the lead role in the 1972 Pakeezah remake.

Meena Kumari, in the original, Pakeezah played the dual roles of Nargis and Sahibjaan but in the Pakistani remake of Pakeezah, it will be Mahira take on these roles.

According to some sources: “Mahira is onboard, but she is one of many stars we can expect for the remake of this epic.”

Mahira, as she herself says, is a big fan of Meena Kumari, Rekha, and Madhubala and has a “buddhi rooh” inside her.

“I am a big, big fan of Guru Dutt and Pyasa, so I would have loved to do that.”

Pakeezah is one of Meena Kumari’s most popular projects.
