Radhe Shyam – A Huge Success – Disappoints Some Critics

Web Desk — Tollywood superstar Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s romantic film ‘Radhe Shyam’ makes a massive and impressive start as the box office collection of the film crossed the Rs 150 crore mark on day three of its release. 

It was predicted that Radhe Shyam would be a huge success at the box office, but some critics don’t quite get it. According to some reviews, the romantic drama Shyam Radhe does not measure up to Prabhas’s stature in Baahubali.

Shubhra Gupta, a Bollywood film critic, wrote in her review of Radhe Shyam: “All this peeling of the unknown refuses to give us the biggest reveal. Why did Prabhas, coasting on his macho action hero image, agree to play a role in which he mouths such lines as: “I am not a relationship type, I am a flirtationship type.” Who knows? I am buried in my palm.”

1970s Europe has been shown in the film in which Radhe Shyam hero Prabhas plays the role of a palmist Vikramaditya who has a crush on lady doctor Prerna (Pooja Hegde). The film, with Prabhas and Pooja Hedge in never-seen-before avatars, has been shot mostly on locations in Italy, Georgia and Hyderabad. 

A Radha Krishna Kumar directorial, Radhe Shyam has been produced by UV Creations. With a view to cash in on the popularity of Prabhas, the movie was released simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil languages. 

 Amitabh Bachchan turned narrator for the Hindi version of the movie while the Telugu version has been narrated by SS Rajamouli.

S Thaman has composed the music, Manoj Paramahamsa has cranked the creative camera work while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has done the editing magic.

According to reports from Bollywood all eyes are on Radhe Shyam’s OTT release date and time details. Media reports suggest that the movie’s streaming rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video. Radhe Shyam is expected to hit the popular OTT platform after four weeks of its release. 

Radhe Shyam was released to the cinemas on March 11, 2022.
