Web Desk — The fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League 2023 (LPL 2023) starts today in Colombo.
The opening match of the LPL 2023 will be played today between Babar Azam’s Colombo Strikers and Shoaib Malik’s Jaffna Kings.
Besides Babar Azam, 14 Pakistani players will be seen in action during the tournament and keep cricket fans’ TV screens alive from July 30 to August 21.
Babar Azam’s Colombo Strikers also include Naseem Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Nawaz, and Imamul Haq among his fellow players.
Other Pakistani players in Sri Lanka’s Cricket League are Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shahnawaz Dhani, Hasan Ali, Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Muhammad Hasnain, and Aamir Jamal.
LIVE Broadcast Rights
Star Sports will LIVE broadcast the LPL matches in India as the channel has exclusive television media rights. Star Sports will also telecast the league’s exciting action live, exclusively in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, and MENA region including UAE.

Venues
For the fourth season, the LPL matches will be held across two venues—Colombo and Kandy.
LPL 2023 Teams
Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Aura, Galle Titans, Jaffna Kings, and B-Love Kandy will be the five teams fighting for the title. Jaffna Kings holds the distinction of winning all three editions of the LPL.
