Jeddah is all set to host the 31st edition of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025, one of the most prestigious basketball events in the region.
The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has officially announced that Saudi Arabia’s vibrant ‘Red Sea city’ will welcome the tournament at King Abdullah Sports City Hall.
The 13-day championship, scheduled from August 5 to August 17, will bring together 16 of the top men’s national teams from across Asia and Oceania, promising breath-taking games and world-class talent.
What is the FIBA Asia Cup?
The FIBA Asia Cup is the premier basketball competition for national teams across Asia and Oceania. Initially held every two years and serving as a qualifier for the FIBA World Cup and the Olympics, the tournament was revamped in 2017 to become a quadrennial event.
