In a significant diplomatic development, the “Gaza Board of Peace” was formally announced under the auspices of U.S. President Donald Trump. The signing ceremony for the charter was held in Davos, Switzerland.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, alongside leaders and representatives from several other nations, signed the historic document. The charter is now reported to be fully operational and in effect.
Addressing the ceremony, the U.S. president thanked all countries for joining the Gaza Board of Peace. “I will continue to work with the United Nations and other nations on the Board of Peace,” he stated.
Which Countries Are Part of the Gaza Board?
According to Arab media reports, 19 countries have now joined the Gaza Board of Peace, including Pakistan. The list comprises Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Furthermore, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Hungary, Kosovo, Morocco, and Vietnam have also announced their participation in the Gaza Board of Peace.
In a notable move, Russian President Vladimir Putin has also joined the initiative. He expressed gratitude to President Trump and announced, “We are ready to contribute one billion dollars. Russia has always cooperated in every effort for global stability.”
