Web Desk — The ruling alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is going to boycott a 3-member bench of the Apex Court hearing PTI’s petition regarding a delay in elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PDM took this crucial decision at a meeting held in Lahore. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over the meeting while PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman, Maryam Nawaz, Salik Hussain, and MQM-Pakistan’s Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui attended the meeting on the video link.

Inside Story
According to the inside story, Nawaz Sharif pitched a proposal to boycott the three-member bench of the Supreme Court and the PDM leaders approved it unanimously.

The PDM meeting was summoned just a day after the Supreme Court rejected the petition of the ruling alliance for the formation of a full court bench in an election delay case.

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, on Friday, questioned the proceedings of the Supreme Court and called for a full court in the case of an election. He said the three-member bench’s verdict will not be accepted.
