SBOSS Digital Platform Launched in Sindh – Objectives

SBOSS digital platform launched in Sindh

Web Desk: Sindh government has launched the Sindh Business One-Stop Shop (SBOSS), a comprehensive digital platform aimed at simplifying business registration and licensing procedures across the province.

Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the system at the Chief Minister House. The event was attended by Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Shaikh, provincial ministers, senior bureaucrats, and members of the business community.

Key points of the initiative are as follows:

  • Launch: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah formally launched SBOSS, a 24/7 online platform designed to ease the process of business registration and licensing throughout Sindh.
  • Purpose: The initiative aims to digitise and streamline business processes, improve the *ease of doing business, and foster *private sector growth.
  • Features:
  • SBOSS currently provides 32 e-licensing services across nine provincial departments, with expansion planned to over 130 services from 16 departments.
  • It is fully integrated with national systems including *NADRA, SECP, 1LINK, and the **Pakistan Meteorological Department, enabling *real-time identity verification and secure digital transactions.
  • The platform incorporates blockchain technology — a first in Pakistan for any business facilitation portal — to ensure data integrity, transparency, and protection against forgery.
  • Support: SBOSS has been developed under the World Bank-funded Competitive and Livable City of Karachi (CLICK) Project.
  • Future Plans:
  • Full digitisation of all regulatory and licensing processes.
  • Establishment of Business Facilitation Centres across Sindh.
  • Introduction of a 24/7 Digital Contact Centre to support entrepreneurs and investors.
  • Remarks: Speaking at the event, the chief minister described SBOSS as a “transformative moment” for Sindh’s economy and governance. He said the platform would ensure fair, transparent, and convenient business access, from home-based entrepreneurs to large investors.
  • Federal Response: Federal Minister Qaiser Shaikh welcomed the initiative, calling it a “significant step” toward improving the investment environment. He acknowledged recent positive economic indicators, including currency and reserve improvements.
  • Access: The SBOSS platform is now live and accessible to users across the province.

Officials including Special Assistant to the CM Qasim Naveed and Secretary Investment Raja Khurram Shahzad also addressed the gathering, reiterating the government’s commitment to business facilitation and economic development.
