Web Desk: Pakistan is rising as a leader in the global cryptocurrency landscape, setting trends rather than following them, said Bilal Bin Saqib, Chief Executive Officer of the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC).
Saqib told a private news channel about growing international interest in Pakistan’s digital finance potential. “For the first time, we’re not lagging—we’re shaping the future of digital currency,” he said. “Global tech firms and investors are turning their attention to Pakistan’s crypto market.”
Praising the country’s vibrant and tech-savvy youth, he believed Pakistan could become a regional hub for digital finance and innovation. “We have the potential to lead the region, export innovation, and become a key player among emerging markets,” Saqib added.
The PCC CEO also cited the establishment of Pakistan’s Digital Assets Authority as a milestone toward “smart and robust regulation” that can attract global businesses. “We aim to build world-class companies right here in Pakistan—not just in Silicon Valley or Europe,” he noted.
Saqib further emphasized empowering freelancers and tech talent to evolve into entrepreneurs. “Pakistan is advancing in this sector more rapidly than its neighbors,” he said. “The world is beginning to acknowledge our position in the digital economy.”
