Web Desk — The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the United States of America (USA) Islamabad embassy officials discussed new tax provisions for the beverage industry.
According to a press release, the FBR chairman Mr. Asim Ahmad highlighted the areas of cooperation between the two countries in the field of trade and business facilitation.
There were representatives of various companies from the beverage industry in the meeting, who raised their concerns regarding the new tax provisions. The SAPM (Revenue) and Chairman FBR assured them that their concerns would be addressed on a priority basis.
The FBR chairman was thankful for the US engagement with Pakistan in the economic, financial, and revenue areas and intended to further strengthen the ongoing cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting between FBR and the US embassy comes as Pakistan seeks to increase its trade relations and encourage foreign investment to promote economic growth.
