In response to recent statements by the US President, Iranian officials have declared that any American attack on Iran will be met with direct military retaliation against US bases and installations across the Middle East.
The warning comes following comments from President Donald Trump, who addressed Iranian protesters, suggesting they could “seize government institutions” and issuing stark warnings about potential consequences if protesters were executed.
Iranian authorities have formally notified neighboring countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and Turkey, that in the event of a US strike on Iran, American military assets within their borders would be considered legitimate targets. Iran has also urged these nations not to allow their territory and bases to be used for launching attacks against it.
This development coincides with reported US military movements. According to Reuters, the United States has instructed some military officers to depart from its Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest US military facility in the region. Meanwhile, Qatari officials stated that practical measures are being taken to protect the country’s vital installations and military centers.
