In a powerful reaffirmation of its commitment to national integrity, the top leadership of the Pakistan Army has declared that no elements, whether political or otherwise, will be allowed to undermine the country’s solidarity, security, and stability.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), this resolve was reiterated during the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference, presided over by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir. The forum participants pledged to deal decisively and without exception with all terrorists, their facilitators, and supporters operating from sanctuaries across the border, specifically referencing India.
Addressing the conference, General Munir commended the efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces and intelligence agencies in nationwide counter-terrorism operations. The forum strongly rejected any alleged nexus between terrorism, criminal activities, and political interests. It firmly expressed that no entity would be permitted to compromise national unity, security, and stability.
The ISPR stated that the forum offered prayers (Fateha) for the martyrs of recent terrorist incidents and paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifices made by security personnel and citizens.
General Syed Asim Munir, also serving as the Chief of Defence Forces, paid glowing tribute to the unwavering resolve, professional expertise, and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He expressed confidence that the country is steadily moving towards stability and, with the unwavering support of the Pakistani people, will undoubtedly achieve a future of dignity and honor.
The forum emphasized that no one would be allowed to drive a wedge between the armed forces and the people of Pakistan. It also appreciated the Balochistan government’s special development initiatives, noting that such measures address the root causes of terrorism through improved governance and social cohesion. The forum highlighted the need for similar approaches in other parts of the country.
Participants also reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on the ongoing issue of Palestine.
Concluding the conference, the Army Chief directed commanders to ensure the highest standards of operational preparedness and professional competence in the field.
