Web Desk: The New Zealand cricket team players participating in the ICC Champions Trophy were overwhelmed with joy after witnessing Pakistan’s hospitality.
The Champions Trophy will begin on February 19, with the opening match between host Pakistan and New Zealand at Karachi’s National Stadium.
Before the tournament’s commencement, during a photo shoot, the Kiwi players couldn’t help but appreciate Pakistan’s warm welcome.
While posing for pictures, the New Zealand players expressed their admiration in interesting ways. Kane Williamson greeted the Pakistani people with a cheerful “Welcome, Karachi!” while Rachin Ravindra praised their hospitality.
Kiwi batter Daryl Mitchell stated, “It’s time for the Champions Trophy! Hopefully, our team will bring smiles to our fans’ faces.” Meanwhile, the aggressive batter Glenn Phillips thanked Pakistan in Urdu, saying, “Shukriya Pakistan!”
It is worth mentioning that before the Champions Trophy, the New Zealand team had already won a tri-series in Pakistan.
