Iran Accelerates Uranium Enrichment, IAEA Warns

Iran accelerate Uranium enrichment

LAHORE: (Web Desk) The United Nation’s atomic watchdog has accused Iran of continuously producing uranium metal which can be used for the production of a nuclear bomb.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has issued a report to the member nations in which Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said that his inspectors had confirmed that Iran could now produce 200 grams of uranium metal-enriched up to 20pc.

Under the landmark 2015 deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran cannot produce uranium metal. The JCPOA promises Iran of economic activities in exchange for limiting its nuclear programme and is meant to stop Iran from developing a nuclear bomb.

On the other hand, Iran, by rejecting all such allegations, insists that it is not interested in developing a bomb and that the uranium metal is for civilian nuclear purposes.
