SMOG: Punjab Govt Announce 3 Holidays For Lahore Schools

Web Desk — Public and private educational institutions in Lahore will remain closed for three days a week due to prevailing smog.

The Punjab government has officially notified three weekly holidays for public and private educational institutions in Lahore. The notification will remain effective till further orders.

According to the School Education Department (SED) notification, all public and private schools in Lahore will remain closed on every Friday and Saturday. The official Sunday holiday will count as the third holiday.

The decision comes after the Lahore High Court (LHC) asked the Punjab government to notify the 3-day per week closure of all public and private educational institutes due to heavy smog that has gripped Lahore. For our readers kind information, Lahore has become the most polluted city in the world.
