UAE Visa Policy Changed – Am I Eligible For UAE Golden Visa?

UAE Visa policy changed

After several years, the UAE cabinet approved a major overhaul of the permanent visa system, removing the requirement for sponsorship for newcomers to Abu Dhabi.

According to the report, people coming to the country as guests will be able to stay for 60 days instead of 30 days while parents can sponsor their male children till the age of 25, now they can stay in the country after school and university.

The Golden Visa system has also been expanded, while new entry visas will be available to make it easier for job seekers, especially graduates, to travel around the country. Getting a golden visa will be easy for those professionals earning $8000 or more per month.

According to a statement from the media office, the new entry and accommodation system aims to attract skilled workers from around the world. It said more flexibility in visas would create competition and employment opportunities and promote stability among UAE residents and families.

New Opportunities for Families

Under the new visa policy, parents can now sponsor male children up to the age of 25. Parents can support an unmarried daughter indefinitely. Children with disabilities can be granted a permanent residence permit regardless of their age.

Eliminate sponsorship requirement for professionals

The UAE will not need a sponsor or host for young professionals and professionals.

Visas will be issued to those who meet the first, second, or third classification criteria set by the Ministry of Human Resources. In addition, the visa will be for new graduates of the world’s top 500 universities. For this visa the applicant must have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

5-year multi-entry tourist visa also introduced

In addition to the regular tourist visa, a 5-year multi-entry tourist visa was also introduced.

This visa does not require a sponsor and under this visa, any person can stay in the country for 90 consecutive days and it can be extended for the same period provided that the whole period of stay is not more than 180 days in a year.

Proof of bank balance of $ 4,000 or equivalent in foreign currency during the last 6 months is required before applying for this visa.

Resident Golden Visa

Holders of Golden Visas can sponsor their families, including spouses and children, regardless of age. In addition, holders of Golden Visas will not be required to visit the UAE for a specified period of time in order to maintain a Gold Visa.

Scientist Golden Visa

The Scientist Gold Visa will be awarded to candidates who have a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Life Sciences, and Natural Sciences from the best universities in the world. The candidate should have reasonable research achievements.

Golden Visa for Skilled Professionals

Applicants must have a valid employment contract in the UAE and comply with the Ministry of Human Resources and the UAE’s ‘First, Second or Third Professional’ classification rules.

The minimum education must be a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, and the monthly salary must not be less than 30,000 dirhams.

Golden Visa for the Fine Arts

Amendments to this category would require the recommendation or approval of a federal or local government agency to obtain a Golden Visa for talented individuals in the fields of culture, arts, sports, digital technology, inventors, and innovators, among others.

Golden Visa for Real Estate Investors

Real estate investors can get a Golden Residence when the property, they are buying, is valued at less than 2 million dirhams.

According to the new amendments, investors are also entitled to get Golden Residence by purchasing property by taking loans from certain local banks. Investors can also avail Golden Residence by purchasing one or more off-plan properties for less than 2 million dirhams from approved local real estate companies.

Golden Visa for Business People

If the person is one of the founders of a previous business plan with a total value of not less than DH7 million, he will be entitled to the Golden Residence. Projects or ideas require the approval of the Ministry of Economy or the competent local authorities.

Golden Visas for Outstanding Students and Graduates

The Golden Visa targets high-performing students in secondary schools and outstanding graduates from UAE universities and the top 100 universities around the world according to specific criteria including their academic performance, year of graduation, and university. Rating included.

Golden Visa for skilled workers and freelancers

Skilled employees will be granted a 5-year Golden Visa without a sponsor or employer. The minimum educational level should be Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and the salary should not be less than 15 thousand dirhams.

Golden visa for investor or partner

This visa has been introduced to encourage investment. It provides 5 years of accommodation for investors who set up or participate in commercial activities.
