Riz Ahmed, first Muslim to win Oscar

Web Desk — British Pakistani actor Riz Ahmed who gained immersive popularity in Hollywood for his memorable roles and worked with big franchises, again made history by becoming the first Muslim actor to win the Oscars.

Ahmed won the best live-action short film “The Long Goodbye” which he co-write with Aneil Karia.

It was a big moment for him because he worked so hard to write this incredible short film and he even mentioned it in various interviews.

Riz Ahmed won the best short film award – First Muslim to grab Oscar award.
It was a precious moment for the Pakistani British actor, as last year he also made it to the headline for being nominated for his outstanding performance in Sound of Metal.

When Long Goodbye got nominated, Riz Ahmed was over the moon and expressed his happiness over his social media account. He wrote, “On behalf of myself and Left-Handed Films, thank you to the Academy for recognizing The Long Goodbye for Best Live Action Short Film, and honoring Flee with a historic three nominations for Best Animation, Best Doc, and Best Intl Feature!”
