By Web Desk — The allocated tickets for the 2022 T20 World Cup match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India scheduled for October 23 at Melbourne Cricket Ground were sold out within the first few hours of the sale announced online.
Cricket fans planning to watch the high-octane clash between two neighbours will be unable to buy tickets as all tickets are sold by the end of the day.
“The public allocation of tickets has been exhausted. Tickets may still be available through ICC Travel and Tours and Official Hospitality. On ICC’s ticket page, a message says, “You can also join the Waitlist for this match and receive email updates on ticket releases for that specific match”.
The Melbourne Stadium is one of the world’s largest venues, and it can hold around 100,000 people at a time. An Australian publication reported that more than 60,000 pre-sale tickets have been sold, while fans can sign up for a waitlist for tickets.
According to the cricket governing body, “Tickets may still be available through the Official Hospitality and ICC Travel and Tours Programmes. Alternatively, you may join the Waitlist for this match and receive email updates as tickets become available.”
