Ronaldo’s ‘Inshallah’ Sparks Debate On Social Media

Christiano Ronaldo Inshallah

Web Desk — Christiano Ronaldo is under discussion on social media for ending one of his social media posts with ‘Inshallah’.

A flood of reaction came on social media following Ronaldo’s saying Inshallah. Some are of the view that the star footballer used the common Muslim phrase to attract more money and contracts. Others believe that Muslim culture actually inspired him to say so.

Ronaldo on his X handle wrote, ‘‘Ready to turn this around Insha’Allah’’.

It is quite understandable that Ronaldo made the statement in the context of football. He was seen smiling in the photo he shared with the statement.

However, people on social media are free to give any meaning to his words.

A commenter said saying inshallah makes Ronaldo more popular. Another one had to say that ‘‘The inshallah alone is 200 million pounds.’’

Some criticized Ronaldo’s act, labelling it as a strategy to attract more contracts.

Ronaldo took membership in the Saudi football club Al-Nasar in 2022 and signed the closed contract with a deal of €200 million ($214 million).
