ICC T20 world cup 2022 schedule

Web Desk — Pakistan and India, two of the biggest rivals, will once again lock horns in the opening game of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on October 23.

Similar to the previous edition, the Men in Green will face India, as both teams have been placed in the same group for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, which will be held in Australia.

Australia will host the cricket carnival between October 16-November 13 while matches will be played in seven venues including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Geelong, Hobart, and Perth.

In the Super 12 round of the next tournament, the archrivals will be grouped with Bangladesh, South Africa, and two teams from the first round.

The team green defeated Kohli XI by 10 wickets in the sides’ T20 World Cup opener last October, becoming the first team to defeat neighbours in a World Cup match.

A total of 12 teams will be participating in the Super 12s of the tournament, divided into two groups of 6 each.

On 9 and 10 November, the semi-finals will be played at the SCG and Adelaide Oval. The Adelaide Oval will host its first World Cup semi-final and the MCG will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 final on 13 November 2022.
