Sindh High Court lift ban on TikTok

Lahore: (Web Desk) The popular video-sharing application TikTok is once again open in Pakistan as The Sindh High Court has ordered the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to unblock it.

The court gave this order after the internet and telecommunication regulator assured the court to address the complaint of a petitioner by July 5.

Justice Kauser Sultana of the Sindh High Court passed this ruling while hearing the PTA’s civil miscellaneous application requesting the court to set aside its June 28 order.

The court on June 28 ordered PTA to block TikTok as immoral, unethical and to some extent obscene content was being uploaded on it.

This was the third ban on TikTok within the last 2 years.
