Every Citizen’s Right to Own a Home
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a major relief for homeless individuals by approving Rs. 62 billion for the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” program. She emphasized that having a roof over one’s head is a basic right for every citizen.

Maryam Nawaz also instructed officials to review the proposal of increasing amounts from Rs. 15 to 20 lakhs for Punjab Home Loan Scheme, ensuring more people can benefit from this initiative.

Latest Updates on the Program
During a briefing, it was revealed that so far, 5,000 citizens across Punjab have availed loans under the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” program.

Additionally, the construction of over 4,200 homes under the program is rapidly progressing, and the project is moving swiftly toward completion.
