PM Orders Crackdown on Jaffar Express Attackers & Fake News Campaigns

Web Desk: In a decisive move, Prime Minister [Shehbaz Sharif] has directed authorities to expose those behind the Jaffar Express attack and counter fake news campaigns harming Pakistan’s global image. The decision was made during a high-level meeting in Islamabad, attended by civil and military leadership along with representatives from all provinces.

Key Decisions from the Meeting

Strengthening the National Narrative – The leadership reaffirmed its commitment to the National Action Plan (NAP) to counter terrorism and misinformation.

Crackdown on Anti-State Propaganda – A strict monitoring and action plan will be implemented against false narratives on traditional and digital media, ensuring national security and social harmony.

Promoting Awareness Through Media – The government aims to use films, dramas, and digital content to educate youth and counter extremism.

Educational Reforms – The meeting emphasized incorporating terrorism awareness into the national curriculum to highlight its social and economic consequences.

The meeting was attended by chief ministers from all four provinces, including Ali Amin Gandapur from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, signaling a unified national stance against terrorism and misinformation.

This strategic initiative marks a major step in safeguarding Pakistan’s narrative on the global stage.
