Web Desk: The Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS), chaired by National Assembly Speaker, has issued a strong declaration against terrorism, vowing to eliminate all threats with full force and national unity.

Top Leadership Unites Against Terrorism

The high-level meeting saw the participation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, DG ISI, political leaders, security officials, and key government figures. The declaration, read out by the Prime Minister, emphasized the severe condemnation of recent terrorist attacks and reaffirmed the resolve to deal with terrorists and their supporters with an iron hand.

🔹 Zero tolerance for terrorism: A firm decision to use all available resources to eliminate terrorism.
🔹 Crackdown on facilitators: A comprehensive strategy to dismantle terror networks and their supporters.

Condemnation of External Influence

The committee strongly condemned any expression of sympathy for extremist groups operating in Afghanistan, emphasizing that such support directly threatens Pakistan’s security.

Opposition’s Absence Noted

While the meeting marked an important moment of unity, some opposition members were absent, which the committee regretted. However, it was assured that the consultation process will continue to maintain a collective approach to national security.

Prayers for Success in Anti-Terror Fight

At the end of the session, Speaker of the National Assembly requested COAS General Asim Munir to lead a prayer, seeking victory in Pakistan’s fight against terrorism.
