Monitoring Desk: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has expressed concerns about a potential war with India. Speaking on Geo News’ program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath, he stated that India appears to be in a warlike mood. The same concern was conveyed during a recent briefing given to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the ISI Headquarters.
Khawaja Asif warned that if India attempts to enter Pakistani territory, “we will chase them back to their homes. Last time, we served them tea — this time, we’ll send them back after a good beating.”
The Defence Minister added that it is unclear what kind of dreams the Indian leadership is dreaming — or showing to their public — but Pakistan’s armed forces are fully vigilant and ready to respond to any aggression. He further revealed that recently, Indian Air Force Rafale fighter jets were flying near Pakistan’s borders with hostile intent. Still, Pakistan Air Force successfully jammed their radar systems, forcing the Indian jets to make an emergency landing in Srinagar instead of returning to the Ambala airbase.
When asked about the possibility of India blocking Pakistan’s water, Khawaja Asif responded firmly: “Firstly, India cannot stop our water; if they try, they’ll drown in that very water. But if they proceed with construction to block our water, we will treat it as an act of war and destroy those structures.”
