Pakistan’s top military spokesperson, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has directly accused India of orchestrating terrorism on Pakistani soil, holding New Delhi responsible for the recent deadly school bus bombing in Khuzdar, Balochistan.
During a press conference in Islamabad on Friday, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said India has been involved in state-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan “since its inception.” He linked the May 21 bombing of a school bus in Khuzdar, which killed 6 innocent children and injured over 40, to the Indian intelligence agency RAW.
“The Khuzdar attack had nothing to do with the Baloch identity; it was India’s provocation, planned, instructed, and financed by the Indian state,” Lt Gen Chaudhry said.
The school bus, targeted near Zero Point on the Quetta-Karachi Highway, was transporting children to the Army Public School inside Khuzdar Cantonment when the attack occurred.
India’s Digital Footprint in Terror Attacks
Lt Gen Chaudhry claimed that Indian-linked social media accounts associated with RAW had posted about terrorist attacks in Pakistan before they occurred, including the October 2024 attack on the Chinese envoy in Karachi and the March 2025 hijacking of the Jaffar Express by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
“These Indian accounts celebrated the Khuzdar attack and posted content supporting BLA and ‘Fitnah al Hindustan,’” he said. “What kind of country celebrates the murder of children?”
He reminded reporters that Pakistan had previously presented evidence of Indian involvement in terrorism:
- In 2009, a dossier was handed to the Indian Prime Minister.
- In 2010, publicly released documents further exposed Indian interference.
- In 2016, Indian naval officer and spy Kulbushan Jadhav was captured in Balochistan.
- In 2020, a comprehensive dossier was submitted to the United Nations.
“These are not isolated incidents; this is a clear pattern of state-backed terrorism,” he said.
Interior Ministry Backs ISPR Claims
Also speaking at the press conference, Interior Secretary Captain (retd) Khurram Muhammad Agha called the Khuzdar school bus bombing a “cowardly attack on Pakistan’s future.”
“This was not just an attack on a vehicle — it was an attack on our education, our values, and the very fabric of our society,” Agha said. “Initial investigations confirm that this is part of an ongoing campaign by Fitnah al Hindustan, under RAW’s direction.”
He described how Indian-backed terror proxies, frustrated by failed attempts to hit hardened security targets, have shifted toward softer ones — including children, laborers, and development workers — in a bid to destabilize Pakistan.
“These terrorists, acting against the traditions of Baloch culture, have stooped so low as to target innocent schoolchildren,” the Interior Secretary said. “But let me be clear: they will not succeed. The state has both the will and the capability to dismantle these networks.”
Agha assured the nation that the perpetrators and their handlers would be brought to justice.
