Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has disclosed a remarkable incident that took place during the recent Pakistan-India escalation, shedding light on a powerful exchange between Field Marshal Asim Munir and a visiting Saudi delegation.

Speaking at an event organized by the Professor Waris Mir Foundation in Lahore, Naqvi said, “I can testify that our Army Chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, played a decisive leadership role during the war. After India’s aggression, the world expected Pakistan to remain quiet. But the credit goes to our Prime Minister and Field Marshal, who not only withstood external pressure but also gave India a fitting response.”

Naqvi revealed that a Saudi delegation paid a one-day visit to Pakistan during the conflict, arriving directly from India after receiving extensive briefings there. During their meeting, Field Marshal Asim Munir gave a striking analogy to explain Pakistan’s resolve. “India is like a shining Mercedes, while Pakistan is like a dumper truck filled with stones. Now imagine what will happen when this dumper collides with that glittering Mercedes?” he told the Saudi officials. Naqvi said the delegation went speechless after hearing this response.

The Interior Minister further praised Pakistan’s intelligence agencies, highlighting their role in foiling Indian strategies. “We were receiving prior information about every single move of India. These silent warriors deserve our highest salute,” he remarked.

Naqvi also disclosed that Pakistan had confirmation of downing six Indian aircraft during the conflict. “We even saw their destruction on our radar screens, but we decided not to make any claims without concrete evidence. Had we wanted, we could have inflicted far greater damage—but even this loss was unbearable for India,” he added.
