US President Donald Trump has made a sweeping claim regarding the ongoing military campaign against Iran, stating that the entire Iranian leadership and 48 key figures have been eliminated in the strikes.
In a video address, Trump detailed the extent of the damage inflicted on Iran’s military and political infrastructure.
‘Whole Iranian Leadership Eliminated’
“We have taken out 48 key figures in Iran. The entire Iranian leadership has been eliminated,” Trump declared. He claimed that operations targeted Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) installations, Iran’s air defense systems, and its air force.
The US President also asserted that the strikes destroyed nine Iranian naval vessels and one building. According to Trump, with the Iranian military command structure destroyed, many of those remaining now wish to surrender.
Renewed Surrender Offer
Trump repeated his offer to remaining Iranian forces, stating: “The Revolutionary Guards, the Iranian army, and the police can surrender and receive amnesty. Otherwise, prepare to face certain death.”
He made it clear that the military operation will continue until all objectives are achieved. The President also vowed to avenge any American soldiers killed in the conflict.
‘Democracy Will Emerge in Iran’
Addressing the Iranian people directly, Trump said: “America stands with the Iranian citizens. The people of Iran should take advantage of this opportunity and take back their country.”
He predicted that the war could last up to four weeks, acknowledging that “Iran is a large and strong country.” However, he promised that once the conflict concludes, “democracy will emerge in Iran, and there will be many positive things.”
Context
Trump’s latest claims come just a day after Iran’s official state media confirmed the martyrdom of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Israeli strikes, along with his chief adviser Ali Shamkhani and IRGC Commander Pakpour. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has vowed “the most devastating operation in Iran’s history” in retaliation, though no major response has yet been launched.
The situation remains extremely volatile as the world watches for Iran’s next move.
