Web Desk — Due to Russian aggression against Ukraine, Netflix has halted all future projects and acquisitions in Russia.
According to reports, the streaming giant is developing four Russian original series, including a Dasha Zhuk directorial crime thriller, which was already shot but has been suspended.
Netflix is said to be filming a second original series in Russia after “Anna K” wrapped last year.
As per the source, the company continues to assess the “impact” of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Earlier this week, similar actions were taken by various production houses and companies.
Walt Disney also announced it would be halting all theatrical releases in Russia, including Pixar’s “Turning Red.” The Netflix movie was scheduled to premiere in Russia on March 10. However, the Russian fans will have access to the Netflix movies as no decision has yet been made to shut down Netflix in Russia.

After this announcement, Warner Bros. also halted the release of “The Batman” in Russia.
Cannes Film Festival organizers announced on Tuesday that they will not accept Russian delegations or attendees with government ties.
However, the people of Russia will continue to watch their favorite “Stranger Things”, created by The Duffer Brothers. Likewise, Midnight Mass, a tv mini-series about an isolated island community, will also continue to entertain its fans in Putin’s Russia.
