Inkas has revealed its latest model, a BR6-level (one of the highest levels of protection available, apparently) armored Mercedes-Benz S-Class that can withstand assault rifles to DM51 grenades, which are able to be thrown either as explosives or equipped with a fragmentation jacket, nasty stuff you wouldn’t want in the car.

This bulletproof S580 offers all-around protection while maintaining a pleasant driving experience. According to Inkas, the ballistic armor is discrete and does not alter vehicle performance, ride quality, or advanced driver assistance features.

Inside, you’ll find everything you expect from a Mercedes, including high-quality leather seats and top-of-the-line technology. In the event of an emergency, a twin-turbo V-8 generating 496 horsepower should keep your driver safe.

For increased security, Inkas offers optional equipment and accessories in addition to the standard armoring. Emergency equipment includes an auxiliary thermal night vision camera, an oxygen supply on board to keep the air you breathe fresh, and fire suppression systems. If you’re that important, you can also add external strobe lights, sirens, an intercom, and a PA system.

As a result of lightweight armoring and door-assist technology, armored doors are easy to open and close. Other mechanical-based upgrades on the menu are heavy-duty brakes, with a set of heavy-duty wheels to keep up.

The newly armored Mercedes-Benz S-Class by Inkas is available to order now and ships worldwide, including air freight if necessary. The price was not disclosed, but we’re sure these run for a large sum of money that a trust fund can afford.
