ICC nominations for test player of the year 2021

Web Desk — The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominations for the Test Cricketer of the Year 2021.

The ICC has nominated Joy Root of England and Ravi Chandran Ashwin of India for the Test Cricketer of the Year award. Ravi Chandran has been nominated for the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year award for taking 52 wickets in 8 Test matches this year and scoring 337 runs with a century.

On the other hand, English captain Joy Root scored 1708 runs in 15 matches and this includes his six centuries. New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson and Sri Lanka’s Dimuth Cronartne have also been shortlisted for the Test Cricketer of the Year award.

The Player of the Year will be chosen with votes and the fans will have to decide who will be honored as the best player of the year.
