The Sri Lankan cricket team will complete its tour of Pakistan, and no player will be returning home, the team manager has confirmed.
According to Geo News, the Sri Lankan team manager stated that all Sri Lankan players will remain in Pakistan and none is heading back to their country.
Earlier, the manager had mentioned that some Sri Lankan players were considering returning home. Following this, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made every possible effort to save the ongoing ODI series and the upcoming tri-nation series.
Chairman of the PCB and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a 90-minute meeting with the Sri Lankan team and assured them of foolproof security. After the assurances from the PCB, the Sri Lankan team decided to continue their tour of Pakistan.
It is worth mentioning that Sri Lanka still has two remaining One Day Internationals against Pakistan, followed by participation in a tri-nation series to be held in Pakistan.
