Pakistani Forces Foil Major Terror Attempt, kill 54 Terrorists

Web Desk: Pakistan’s brave security forces on Sunday foiled a major infiltration bid by the Fitna al-Khawarij from Afghanistan, killing 54 terrorists.

This is considered the biggest success of the Pakistan Army against terrorists so far, in which such a large number of terrorists were killed. According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, this operation was carried out in the Hassan Khel area of ​​North Waziristan.

According to the ISPR, security forces detected suspicious movements during the night between April 25 and 27, when a large group of militants attempted to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan.

The ISPR statement said that the security forces effectively foiled the infiltration attempt and, working with utmost skill, eliminated all 54 Khawarij.

A large quantity of arms, explosives and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the slain militants. According to intelligence reports, the terrorist group was working on the instructions of its “foreign masters” and was assigned high-profile terrorist missions inside Pakistan.

The ISPR stressed that the infiltration attempt came at a time when India is leveling baseless allegations against Pakistan. “Such acts clearly indicate who is masterminding these attacks,” the statement said, adding that these acts amounted to treason against the state.

The ISPR, citing a recent meeting of the parliamentary committee on national security, suggested that India may be trying to divert attention from Pakistan’s counter-terrorism operations to provide a strategic window for terrorists to regroup.

According to an ISPR statement, the operation marks the highest number of militants killed in a single day during Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign. The military praised the soldiers for their “exceptional professionalism, alertness and preparedness”, saying their actions averted a potential disaster.

The ISPR vowed that the armed forces are committed to defending the country’s borders and eliminating terrorism. “Such bold and decisive actions strengthen the national resolve and confirm that Pakistan is winning the war against terrorism.”
