Web Desk: Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has reaffirmed that no demand, regardless of its legitimacy, can justify terrorism, vowing that operations against terrorists will persist until they are completely eradicated.
Speaking to the media after offering Eid ul Fitr prayers in Faisalabad, Sanaullah strongly condemned the killing of innocent people, declaring it unacceptable under any circumstances.
Tribute to Martyrs and Nation’s Resolve
He paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifices in ensuring peace and security. He emphasized that the entire nation stands united against terrorism and will not allow extremism to take root.
Clarifying the right to protest, he stated that while peaceful demonstrations are a democratic right, hijacking trains, targeting innocent civilians, and executing passengers cannot be tolerated. He also warned that those who support terrorists will not be spared.
Economic Stability and Inflation Control
On the economic front, Sanaullah claimed that the government has successfully navigated the country out of crisis, ensuring continued relief for the public.
He asserted that inflation has not only been controlled but is steadily declining, with further improvement expected.
Highlighting the Punjab government’s initiatives under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, he pointed to public welfare projects aimed at improving the quality of life. He credited the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for its consistent focus on service-oriented politics under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership.
Political Turmoil and Development Projects
Taking a swipe at political rivals, Sanaullah remarked that those who fueled politics with hatred and abuse have now faced their downfall.
He blamed the 2018 political upheaval for triggering Pakistan’s crises but assured that the government has successfully overcome these challenges.
Regarding infrastructure development, he announced that two major projects—Faisalabad-Chiniot road construction and Satyana Road leading to the motorway—will be completed within the current financial year at a cost of Rs10 billion.
Additionally, he confirmed that Faisalabad’s IT City and Metro projects are also on track for completion.
Terrorism and National Security
Sanaullah reiterated that terrorists have no legitimate demands, accusing them of working to destabilize Pakistan and push for an independent Balochistan.
He vowed that counter-terrorism operations would continue until all threats are eliminated.
While reaffirming the government’s willingness to engage with those who respect the Constitution and the law, he urged people not to make demands that could be perceived as supporting terrorism.
He also called on Baloch Yakjehti Committee leader Mahrang Baloch and Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) members to condemn acts of terror, including the hijacking of trains and the killing of innocent people.
