Mahira Khan Stands With Student Expelled From IBA

KARACHI: (Web Desk) The shameful expulsion of a final year student from The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi has brought a storm of criticism on social media.

Mohammad Gibrail, the expelled student, highlighted an incident of alleged harassment on campus. Gibrail claims to have seen a female finance department employee being harassed by a male supervisor.

Gibrail reported the incident on social media and was ousted by the institute as a consequence.

Many people are criticizing the IBA for this shameful act. Actor Mahira Khan has also called the University decision “shameful and sad”.

On the other side, IBA has assured that its Anti-Harassment Committee will investigate the case. IBA asserted the institute would ensure that its rules and regulations were being followed and would not allow any breach in the code of conduct.
