Army Demands Justice For May 9 Culprits

Web Desk — Formation Commanders have given a loud and clear message that the “planners, perpetrators, abettors, and facilitators” of the May 9 incidents should be brought to book for the collective good of the country.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Conference agreed that stability in the country will remain hostage in the hands of miscreants without swift and transparent dispensation of justice to the culprits of May 9 incidents.

Army Chief Syed Asim Munir presided over the meeting which was attended by corps commanders, principal staff officers, and all formation commanders.

‘Digital terrorism’

The military leadership underscored that conspirators duly abetted by their foreign cohorts had unleased “politically motivated and vested digital terrorism” against state institutions to “induce despondency” in Pakistan.

The ISPR statement added that such attempts were clearly meant to create discord among national institutions, especially the armed forces, and the people of Pakistan by “peddling blatant lies, fake news, and propaganda.”

The ISPR statement further stated that the nation was aware of their “ugly and ulterior motives and the designs of these nefarious forces” would be defeated with the help of the nation.

The forum offered prayers and paid tribute to martyrs, including officers and soldiers of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and citizens of Pakistan.
