PCB T10 league

Web Desk — The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is making preparations for a comprehensive T10 League and is currently exploring the possibility of hosting six exhibition matches in Rawalpindi next month.

The event is set to feature both men’s and women’s teams – a significant step towards promoting gender equality in the sport. To give the T10 League a global perspective, PCB wants to collaborate with Middlesex, a renowned English County club.

PCB Management Committee head, Zaka Ashraf has been showing interest in the T10 format and his recent statements suggest a strong desire for the T10 league during his current tenure.

Concrete steps are now being taken to materialize this dream and the plan is to schedule the T10 League once the national cricket team returns from New Zealand. The event will serve as a litmus test to gauge public interest in T10 cricket within Pakistan.

According to sources, several proposals, including exhibition matches, are currently being considered as part of the planning process. Zaka Ashraf wants to leave his mark on Pakistani cricket by overseeing the successful launch of a T10 League.

It was he (Zaka Ashraf) who initiated the Pakistan Super League (PSL) project during his previous term though it could not become a reality at that time. Now, he hopes to see the T10 League, becoming a reality in Pakistan.
